AMERICANS have just one more day to apply to a guaranteed income program that provides monthly assistance for a year and a half.
Cambridge, Massachusetts residents have until the end of Monday, July 31 to apply for Rise Up Cambridge.
Rise Up Cambridge aims to help 2,000 low-income residents who are struggling to meet their basic needs amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The $500 payments come with no strings attached, allowing recipients to use the money as they see fit.
The program began accepting applications on June 1st.
Eligible recipients must be at least 18 years old, earn less than 250 percent of the state poverty line, and have at least one child age 21 or younger with them.
To qualify, a two-person household must earn no more than $41,198 per year.
Once the application is received and approved, payments will be made on an ongoing basis.
Rise Up Cambridge intends to approve all households that meet the criteria.
However, interested parties do not have much time to apply as the application deadline is August 1st.

People who are entitled to a large class action lawsuit don’t have much more time to act either.
Those affected by Mattress Firm’s $4.9 million class action lawsuit have until August 4 to file their complaint form.
The lawsuit alleged that the Bed Tech HR platform bed frame was defective and prone to collapse.
Eligible students purchased an HR33, HR33XL, HR46, HR50, HR60, or HR66 frame between April 8, 2015 and April 8, 2021.

Customers who have not returned their frame can still get a $125 Bed Tech gift card.
Recipients who have returned their bed frame can receive anywhere from $73.98 to $115.68 depending on model size.
Millions of other Americans won’t have to wait for the much-anticipated reward.
SSI recipients will receive their first monthly payment since late June on August 1st.
And Social Security payments will stop on August 3rd.
