Former PlayStation exclusive Final Fantasy 7 remake is now available on PC, and while the update has only been out for about a week, the modding community has been overwhelmed.
The PC version is Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, which comes with the Yuffie DLC. It’s a pretty simple gate and can Great look, sound and feel on the right hardware – but it’s also labeled The worst triple A gate at some point, even though a data miner suggested this maybe it’s because Square Enix accidentally sent a debug build.
However, while some modders have busy fixing some issues, others have been having fun with it. Want to turn people into swords? Want to turn? everything into a sword? Want to see Aerith get dirty (not like that…)? Well then, you’ve come to the right place – here’s our roundup of some of the coolest mods out there for FF7R.
Make Aerith dirty
This mod will make flower girl Aerith looks as if she has soil on her. Why? Not sure. But the description of the mod says: “Aerith is playing in the flower garden again and has dirt all over her body. What are we going to do with her?! “This may not be how people envision a Dirty Aerith mod, but here we are. This is almost certainly someone’s fetish somewhere.
Tifa’s China Dress
It is well known that Final Fantasy fans love to cosplay and the costumes available in the game play a big part in sparking this creativity. This mod allows players dress Tifa in her Chinese dress for the entire game. For those who like her Wutai dress, you are also sorted.
Replaced Cloud’s Buster Sword with a Scarlet model
Why hit everything with a sword when you can Omnislash with Scarlet? This mod replaces Cloud Strife’s weapon of choice with Shrina .’s head of weapon development, giving her a close-up and personal look at combat.
Clouds become beautiful
Yes, we know Cloud is always gorgeous, but here’s the gorgeous G with the letter G. After all, why not Dress Cloud in his gorgeous dress for the whole level? This mod also ensures the brooding mercenary is well dressed in battles as well. If you like Cloud’s Casual Outfit, that mod is also available.
A lot of you seem to like purple, especially for Tifa
Many FF7R players seem to like purple, because of this mod, give Tifa her purple dress from the get-go, is one of the most popular mods today. I mean it’s just the color, right?
Get a bat with spikes for Vibes to die walking trauma
There are people among you maybe just want a bat with spikes instead of the Buster Sword to go around looking for G, but then some of you might think Negan of the famous Walking Dead. This mod gives Cloud a distinctly Negan vibe – the comic book villain and the Walking Dead TV show – with a weapon reminiscent of the spiked bat named Lucille (called after Oof’s deceased wife’s name, feelings).
Upgrade the star bracelet
This handy mod is for those who have nothing on their wrist. Geddit? Hey, tell you this is the last entry and it’s almost Christmas, give me a break. This mod gives Star Bracelet eight material slots and different stat boosts. There are 11 versions of the mod, with different stats, so players can choose the variant they want.
Step aside Square and let modders do what they do best.
