“To give you the best possible experience, we’re allowing the time needed to apply the final polish while perfecting the game’s development,” the social media post reads. know.
This delay seems to draw lessons from previous Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, which were generally well received but nevertheless required several patches to address various bugs. This is the cause of the ongoing complications from the COVID-19 pandemic.
To make up for the delay, Square Enix will be adding additional items for those who purchased before Final Fantasy 6. These include the following (the tracks in bold are new):
Special soundtrack
・Locke’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)
・ Decisive Battle (Timelapse Remix)
・ Terra’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)
・Finding friends (Timelapse Remix)
・Aria di Mezzo Carattere (Instrumental)
Special wallpapers
・FF6: 2 types of wallpapers
・FF1-6: 2 types of Pixel Remaster series wallpapers
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is an exceptional collection of HD remakes with updated art, music, and quality of life enhancements. The first five items are now available on PC, iOS and Android. Final Fantasy 6 will be out in February 2022.
