Filming for the final episodes has begun

The show’s parent network, NBC, canceled the series after its third season. Then Netflix initially refrained from saving. But when the first two seasons were added to the streaming service, the show immediately gained new fans. And the rest is history. Now, thanks to the #SaveManifest campaign, a fourth and final season is coming to Netflix, and we can’t wait!

We already knew that filming wrapped for the first half of the episodes and the cast and crew went on hiatus. Now it looks like production is up and running again, meaning the cameras are rolling on the final episode stretch.

So how do we know filming is back? It’s thanks to Michaela actress Melissa Roxburgh. She took a selfie and posted it to her Instagram Stories with the caption “Day 1” tagging the officer manifest Instagram account.

That’s a pretty big indicator that filming is back on track. It’s so bittersweet because we’re excited for the new season, but it also means we’re one step closer to the end of the beloved show.

Josh Dallas recently spoke to us at Netflix Life and shared some teasing for season four. According to the actor, the fourth season will begin two years after the events of the third season. And Ben doesn’t handle being a single parent very well.

Netflix ordered a final 20-episode season and announced it would be split into two parts. The Ben Stone actor also confirmed that they had already completed the first 10 episodes. Netflix has already confirmed that the final season will be split into two parts of 10 episodes. Hopefully we’ll get a release date for Part 1 soon!
