Father and Son Coming Home From Concert Killed by Wrong Road Driver – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A father and son from West Virginia were driving home Sunday morning from a show in Pittsburgh when they were hit and killed by a motorist going the wrong way, police said.

Police say Dylan Healey, 25, was driving the wrong way along 40th Street just before the Morgantown Road exit in South Union Town when he crashed into a vehicle occupied by 41-year-old Brian Gilchrist and 18-year-old Joshua Gilchrist. .

According to authorities, the Gilchrists were killed on impact. Police said Healey was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and is believed to have suffered a functional impairment.
Father and son are heading home to Elmwood after meeting singer Marina at the AE Stage. Around 11 p.m. Saturday night, a family friend told KDKA-TV that Brian and Josh had phoned their family to say they were stopping for a drink and then going home. That was the last time anyone heard from them.

Joshua is a senior at Petersburg High School and a member of the band.
