Fans were stunned when Novak Djokovic’s team handed him a mysterious drink in the Paris semifinals

FANS were left stunned after Novak Djokovic’s team presented him with a mystery drink in the Paris-Bercy Masters semifinals.

The 35-year-old Serbian tennis star faced Stefanos Tsitsipas on Saturday and his strength began to wane in the third and final set.

With the match tied by one set at a time, Djokovic asked for a drink from his bench, which was at one end of the court.

Ulysses Badio, his physiotherapist, began preparing in the stands, which was caught on video.

Sports trainer Marco Panichi then warned his colleagues to be more discreet when preparing the drink.

A ball girl then collected the drink and handed it to Djokovic.

The drink worked wonders for the 21-time Grand Slam winner as he won the semifinals 6-2 3-6 7-6.

Fans have questioned the “shady” nature of the drink’s production.

One said on Twitter: “You’ve been acting pretty sly…”

Another said: “This is really weird.

“I’d like to know what’s in that drink. Djokovic was very demanding of needing it right away as he looked a bit exhausted.”

A third tweeted: “Why is Djokovic’s team so dodgy about the drink and on-site mixing?”

The anti-vaccination opponent was unlucky in Sunday’s final when he lost to 19-year-old Dane Holger Rune.

Djokovic won the first set 6-3 but lost the last two 6-3 7-5.
