Zooey, 43, took to her Instagram feed on Thursday to showcase her new look.
In the photoThe star appeared to be leaning over a table or small desk to take a photo in the mirror.
She ditched her usual dark brown hair and switched to a light blonde style.
The “New Girl” star wore her hair in large curls that framed her face.
A second photo showed Zooey standing upright.
She had the same hairstyle and wore a bright blue bodysuit.
She paired the top with camouflage jogging bottoms and wore a dark jacket over them.
Fans in the comments were stunned by the change in her appearance.

Despite their eerily similar traits, Zooey and the American Idol host aren’t related, though they do have a few things in common.
Both are California girls – Katy was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara and Zooey on January 17, 1980 in Los Angeles.
Katy’s parents are both Christian pastors, while Zooey’s mother was an actress and her father was a director.
On Instagram Live in December 2020, the couple addressed the lookalike gossip.
Katy once admitted that she used to pose as Zooey to get into clubs.
“I have to admit something, Zooey,” she said. “When I came to LA I was pretty much a nobody, and at the time it felt like I just got huge. It was as if Zooey Deschanel ruled the world in that special moment.
“But I have to admit something to you,” she continued. “When I first came to LA, I went to the club a lot. And I wanted to join the club, and I had no money, I had no influence, I had nothing, and sometimes I pretended to be you to get into the club.”
As it turns out, Zooey already knew what Katy was doing by this point.
“People said, ‘I saw you!’ the ELF actor recalled with a laugh.
“But I’m such a good guy, and people were always like, ‘I got you out!’ I made eye contact with you!’ And I said: ‘No!’ And then everyone kept telling me about this girl, Katy, Katy, who looks just like you, and I was like, ‘Who is this Katy?'”
