Fans convinced Messi that he planned the entire move before even getting the ball for Argentina’s support when unseen footage surfaced

FANS are convinced Lionel Messi planned his entire move before even getting the ball ahead of his amazing assist against Croatia.

The 35-year-old would outsmart Josko Gvardiol before putting the ball on a plate for Julian Alvarez to score.

After previously unreleased footage surfaced, it was claimed that Messi knew what was about to happen long before he embarrassed Gvardiol.

According to reporters Juan ArangoMessi’s pal and former teammate Sergio Aguero revealed what his pal wanted on Argentine TV.

Arango tweeted: “Kun Aguero spoke on Arg TV about how Messi tells his teammates to move so he can receive the ball.

“The short pass to the feet is the secret.”

He accompanied his tweet with a video clip of the sequence from the crowd.

In the clip, Messi can be seen positioning Alvarez.

The Manchester City star receives the ball moments later and lays it down for his esteemed teammate to begin his incredible run.

Messi then dribbles down the cross before turning Gvardiol, now infamous, before finally handing him back to Alvarez for a tap.

Writing about the telepathy between the strike partners, one fan tweeted: “Without a single word.”

And another replied: “Messi instructs Julian to look for Gvardiol to break free from the mark. The game is great.”

A third added: “He had the whole game in his head before he took the side out. Bottle.”

While another user added: “The game within the game. Good things.”

Aguero, 34, might have been in the squad if he hadn’t retired last year.

However, he has joined his pals in Qatar in hopes of cheering them on to glory.

While his son Benjamin, 13, is also there – and even got his godfather Messi’s match shorts as a gift.

Injured midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, like Agüero, has also joined Argentina in Qatar in hopes they will win the tournament when they meet France in Sunday’s final.
