Fans believe 49ers are “doomed” against Eagles after acting “disrespectful” in Philadelphia ahead of NFC Championship game

And some think the team is now “doomed to fail” and destined to “bad karma” as a result.

San Francisco fans have come to Philadelphia for Sunday’s NFC Championship game.
The 49ers will face off against the Eagles for a spot in the Super Bowl in two weeks.
And pictures from Philadelphia showed a 49ers shirt hanging over the city’s famous Rocky statue.
The Rocky Balboa Tribute is one of the landmarks of Philadelphia.

And fans called the actions of 49ers supporters on social media “disrespectful.”
But they also think it will spur the Eagles to victory in front of a raucous home crowd.
Minnesota Vikings fans performed a similar act before the 2018 NFC Championship game.
And the team was then hammered by the Eagles, who won the Super Bowl that year.
One fan tweeted, “Hey 49ers fans, if you don’t learn history you’re doomed to repeat it.”
And another said: “Let’s remind them what the Vikings did.”
Another wrote: “There’s bad karma and then an opposing team’s jersey on The Rocky Statue.”
The 49ers and Eagles go head-to-head on Sunday, with the winner playing either the Cincinnati Bengals or the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
