Fans are thinking twice and think Man Utd’s new star is immediately shocked after watching the European game in Brighton

SOME Manchester United fans did a double take as they tuned in to watch Brighton’s European debut.

Although many of the opponents are little-known names, one player in particular caused a bit of confusion.

Former Watford star Nordin Amrabat was in the starting XI for the visitors at The Amex.

The 36-year-old is of course the older brother of United’s deadline signing Sofyan Amrabat.

And it took a split second for it to become clear after the teams were announced and the action began.

One tweeted: “Oh I didn’t know Amrabat was playing in Athens now.”

While another wrote: “Man United could be in for a shock if they find out Amrabat is fit.”

Sofyan is still waiting for his United debut having arrived at Old Trafford with a minor back injury.

Not only did he miss last night’s 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, he also watched Brighton beat United 3-1 last weekend.

This led to another fan saying online: “Breaking: Manchester United player Sofyan Amrabat has requested an immediate transfer to AEK Athens just to play against Brighton and see what he could have done last week. “

Fans are now eagerly awaiting whether the 27-year-old Moroccan international will be available for the game against Burnley on Monday and finally make his Premier League debut.
