FOOTBALL fans loved Patrice Evra’s ‘absolutely insane’ Christmas video, in which he dressed up as Santa, rode Rudolph and went swimming.

The former Manchester United defender is always in a party mood.

So, on Christmas Day, he was up to his usual tricks.

Evra, 41, posted a video of himself in his Santa Claus and reindeer costume outfit, sitting on a bench on a pier over water.

It’s unclear where the Frenchman filmed the clip – but the sun was shining as he got up and danced to the music.

And then, in classic Evra fashion, he did something totally crazy.

The former left-back climbed through the robe fence and plunged himself and Rudolph into the water for a quick dip.

Lots of fans Twitter flooded the responses with brilliant comments.

One said: “This is absolutely baffled.”

Another wrote: “Evra is a whole vibe…love this game.”

A third added: “You just can’t hate this guy.”

And a recent user replied: “The only happy retired footballer. Man just kidding. Merry Christmas Uncle Pat.”

The rest of the sports world celebrated Christmas in a more conventional way, with many stars sharing family photos complete with gifts, trees and plenty of outfits to match.

These included Tyson Fury, Lionel Messi, Alisson Becker and Kylian Mbappe.

And football fans will get their Premier League fix again tomorrow when the action returns after a six-week hiatus.
