Fans are all saying the same thing as Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa play a boring draw to stay in relegation troubles

Emmanuel Dennis gave the hosts a dream start after 15 minutes, heading in from a Morgan Gibbs-White free-kick.

But a rocket from Ashley Young just seven minutes later from 25 yards tied the score.

Despite the exciting start, the match soon fell apart and eventually ended with Forest being held in a 1-1 draw against Villa.

And those who tuned into Sky Sports to follow the action soon after took to Twitter to slam the quality they’d been watching.

One viewer wrote: “Nobody can convince me that Forest Villa’s game wasn’t a Championship play-off semi-final first leg. Just terrible football teams.”

Another tweeted: “This Forest Villa game was championship standard at best!”

Another fan commented, “Villa vs. Forest was a league match.”

And another said: “Really terrible Standard Forest v Villa Poor Championship Standard tbf.”

However, another fan claimed, “Villa and Forest are so bad it’s disrespectful to even call them championship level.”

The result ended a five-game losing streak for Steve Cooper’s team.

Forest are now up to 19th in the Premier League table, a point ahead of Leicester.

They sit four behind Steven Gerrard’s Villa who remain in 16th place.
