Fans all share the same joke as Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is joined by a surprise face for the Fulham game

FANS all shared the same joke as Todd Boehly took his place at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea owner spent a staggering £330million in January when eight top-flight players arrived – including a British record fee for Enzo Fernandez.

Before kicking off her first game since that wild window closed, Boehly sat down in the directors’ box.
But there were a few raised eyebrows as people realized who had the adjacent seat to watch the Blues take on Fulham.
That’s because it was former Chancellor George Osborne.
And that prompted a host of similar gags from witty viewers on social media – a reference to their friendship explaining Chelsea’s ridiculous spending in January.
One wrote: “Todd Boehly is dating George Osborne?
Another said: “Of course George Osborne would sit next to Todd Boehly.”
A third added: “George Osborne sat next to Boehly, hard to tell which one did more damage to their respective economies.”
Osborne, 51, is a lifelong Chelsea fan and season ticket holder – and was even at the side of Roman Abramovich when the Blues won the Champions League in 2012.

He was hired by Boehly last April as an advisor to improve his consortium’s chances of buying Roman Abramovich’s club.
The former MP, ex-Editor of the Evening Standard and now Chairman of the British Museum was seen out for a walk with his fiancee Thea Rogers, their newborn son Arthur and their dog in west London earlier in the day.
The family live down the road from Stamford Bridge in a £10million home in Notting Hill.
