A spectator required treatment for a foot injury as a brawl erupted near the stands where fans were watching.
The New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers teams got into more feuds on the second day of their NFL practice together.
Several players were kicked out on day one before more players were due to leave on Wednesday.
It was another buoyant day of practice between the teams where things spilled over a little too often.
Panthers coach Matt Rhule said: “My thoughts are with the injured woman – hopefully she’s okay.
“We sent Kenny Robinson off the field.
“I didn’t see the goal but we let it go over a player and that’s not how we want to train.
“Things happen in football. There have been some good, clean goals.
“But we don’t stand above anyone and mock them.”
Patriots defenseman Devin McCourty added, “I didn’t see the game. I’ve only seen the episodes.
“We have seen our type laid out in a time that is not necessary for that. It pushed the exercise to the edge.”
The Patriots and Panthers play a preseason game Friday night.
