Fallout 76’s 2022 content roadmap brings players to The Pitt this fall

Fallout 76‘S content roadmap for 2022 will take the player across Appalachia to the Alleghenies – The Pitt, to be precise, or the ruins of Pittsburgh, the setting and name of Fallout 3‘S second expansion.

Pitt and its showcase mode, Expeditions, were introduced during Bethesda and Xbox’s E3 showcase last June. The expeditions will be repeatable, story-driven quests set in new locations. Jeff Gardiner, lead producer for Fall out 76was also the director of the 2009 Premium DLC.

In Pitt, the player travels through the underground railway to the arid city of steel, where three rivers carry irradiated water that has become sick and mutated its survivors. Players are disarmed and forced to work in an underground mine, while also forced to fight in an arena called The Hole. In the end, they had to choose between siding with their captors or leading a slave revolt.

Bethesda Game Studios has yet to say what awaits players in western Pennsylvania, but they’ll get there from a hub in the Whitespring resort. Based on last year’s trailer, it looks like they could be flown by Vertibird.

Also coming in 2022, Vault Dwellers will battle extraterrestrial threats, battle gladiator robots, and deal with Nuka-World’s paranormal travel for seasons 8 through 11. The roadmap, published on Monday, is a full view, without many details. Players can look forward to the Fallout Worlds update alongside Season 8: A Better Life Underground later this spring.

Fallout Worlds is a collection of versions that appear on a monthly basis, some of which are public and available to all players, along with custom worlds that subscribers to the premium Fallout 1 upgrade can store. and manage.

The settings and events for seasons 9, 10 and 11 are all “tracked” now. These will come with scoreboard updates, new quests, and a new area boss to take down respectively.

Pitt was referenced in Fallout 76 is the former home of the Taylors, a family of Settlers living in the Foundation. They were introduced with the Wastelanders update, the April 2020 update that finally added human NPCs to the multiplayer RPG. On the other hand, The Pitt has not been seen or heard of since the 2009 expansion.

The title card (with lots of text) lays out Fallout 76's content plan for 2022 and winter 2023.
