(CBS4) – Eagle County will keep a COVID-19 public health order requiring face coverings in schools and child care facilities into the new year. The county health board will extend the order until January 17.
That means staff, students, and visitors at schools and day care centers need to wear masks when children in grades Pre-K through 8 are present.
The board wants to move to a place where there is no public health order, but the new omicron variant is causing concern.
They will discuss the masking disorder two weeks after the children have returned to school and day care from winter break.
