FORMER England manager Fabio Capello has offered an insight into why Romelu Lukaku is struggling at Chelsea.
Lukaku sets Premier League record for least number of touches ever in a Premier League game in Win 1-0 against Crystal Palace weekend.
A mammoth £97.5 million move to Chelsea next, but the 28-year-old was unsuccessful in his second game at Stamford Bridge.
And while on expert duty for Sky Italia, Capello hinted that Chelsea’s Ownership-based football is the reason for Lukaku’s troubles.
He say: “Lukaku Perfectly suited Conte’s counter-attacking style of play at Inter, as there was plenty of space, fitness and pace to allow him to level the defence in Serie A.
“However, Chelsea play this very different football with lots of short passes and Lukaku doesn’t have the same amount of space to move.
“He also noticed that in England, defenders are physically similar to him and hold out more.

“Lukaku has this power and space to run to the defenders and turn the tide of the game.”
Lukaku scored twice in two games at the Club World Cup earlier this month, but has struggled to find his footing in the Premier League.
And after shooting almost 100 million pounds at the Belgians in the summer Thomas Tuchel was hoping for a more prolific return.
The German boss dropped Lukaku from his starting line-up on Tuesday night Champions League win against Lille.
Even so, Lukaku could find himself with his second trophy in weeks on Sunday night.
