Realtor.com predicts the best week to sell your home will be between April 10th and April 16th.

This particular week in April is said to be ideal as conditions in the housing market are more favorable to sellers than any other week of the year based on 2018-2019 seasonal trends and 2021 data.

Danielle Hale, Realtor.com’s chief economist, added to Reuters: “Mid-April will bring sellers to the market just ahead of a big spike in listings in May.”

It’s unclear how long the market will stay hot as the Fed has attempted to stem inflation by raising interest rates.

During the pandemic, we saw the beginning of the boom when the housing market experienced record growth.

A Realtor.com survey found that as of spring 2021, just 10% of homeowners had plans to sell within 12 months, but that number rose to 26% in the fall.

They said: “Our evidence points to abnormal behavior in the US housing market for the first time since the early 2000s boom

“Certain economic indicators are cause for concern … showing signs that house prices are increasingly out of step with fundamentals in 2021.”
