Ex-Premier League star slams club’s tiny dressing room with bizarre joke about Modric going ‘crazy’
RAFAEL VAN DER VAART has taken criticism of Fulham’s ‘awful, extremely tiny’ dressing rooms to a bizarre level.
The former midfielder believes his former Tottenham team-mate “would be kidding Luka Modric while I had my legs taped next to him”.
That taunt that was said on Dutch televisionmakes Van der Vaart something of a partygoer after Fulham’s impressive return to the Premier League this season.
But his disappointment follows earlier negative comments from Jurgen Klopp about the facilities.
The German even made the comments at a press conference earlier this season – when his Liverpool side weren’t even playing the Londoners!
Klopp said: “I love every football game. Even Fulham where the dressing rooms are so small! They are building a new grandstand with no room for a bigger dressing room!”
Van der Vaart was at Spurs from 2008 to 2012, with Modric at his side for the last two years of that tenure.
And while VDV made the move from Real Madrid to Tottenham, the Croatian legend subsequently joined Spain, where he remains a key player at the age of 37.
But Van der Vaart still clearly remembers the little things they shared, as well as the bigger ones.
He said: “Fulham’s dressing room is terrible. She is extremely small.”

Then the bastard hit the van when he implied he wouldn’t put up with such facilitations while seated – adding his shabby reference to the toilet to Modric.
But one fan replied on social media: “Has he thought about whether maybe Fulham want to make it as uncomfortable as possible for the away side to unsettle them before the game?”
And another said of the 40-year-old, now-retired star: “Brother just randomly dissinging Fulham” – followed by a crying emoji.
