This muscle, after Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, was former professional baseball player Granden Goetzman.
Drafted in the second round of the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, Goetzman spent nine years in the minor leagues with the Rays, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros Affiliates before playing a single season in the Mexican League in 2021.
According to Fightful Select, Goetzman spent much of the year at Jay Lethal’s school and trained prior to his move to professional wrestling.
And Goetzman heralded his arrival by attacking Keith Lee at AEW Dynamite as Lee closed in on Swerve.

Commentators were stunned and asked, “Who the hell is that?”
However, according to the report, his debut was “planned at least a few weeks in advance.”
Following the show, AEW released a backstage report Video von Swerve with Rick Ross and his partners, in which Ross decreed, “We’re coming to take the whole game.
Exactly what AEW or Swerve have planned for Goetzman remains unknown.
The newcomer to the wrestling world has confirmed that it was indeed him, although the AEW has yet to officially identify him.
His Instagram bio says he’s a pro wrestler for the AEW – suggesting this could just be the start of his new career.
