Ex-Chelsea striker Diego Costa joins Wolves for medical treatment ahead of sensational free transfer with work permit

DIEGO COSTA has arrived at Wolves’ training ground for a medical before his free transfer.
The striker, 33, was awarded his work permit on appeal yesterday after initially being refused by the Home Office.

His initial application was dismissed due to his lack of playing time at club level and recent lack of caps for Spain.
However, SunSport exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Wolves was confident the original decision would be overturned given his pedigree as a top athlete.
Once the appeal was upheld, Costa gave the green light to fly to the UK for medical tests.
He landed last night but arrived at Wolves training ground in Compton this morning.
The forward is due to sign a one-year deal with Wolves this afternoon but is not expected to be ready for the club’s forthcoming clash with Liverpool on Saturday.
