Ex-Chelsea midfielder catches nine stone catfish while enjoying his day off… but can you guess who it is?
A FORGOTTEN Chelsea player is going viral, but not because of his football.
Instead, the blues’ flop made headlines for his latest catch while he was out fishing on his day off.
That’s none other than Nathan, 26, who has spent five years at Stamford Bridge without ever making a single appearance.
The midfielder, who currently plays for Atletico Mineiro, went on a fishing trip and caught a nine stone catfish.
The Brazilian shared pictures of his catch on Instagram for all of his 418,000 followers.
Nathan joined Chelsea from Atletico Paranaense in 2015 but never managed to play for the senior team.
Instead, the Blues sent him to Vitesse, Amiens, Belenenses and Atletico Mineiro.
Atletico eventually signed him on a permanent deal in 2020 before loaning him to Fluminense two years later.
Nathan has recorded 13 goals and seven assists in 107 games for the Brazilians.
The versatile midfielder celebrates significantly more successes in his home country than in Europe.

Nathan already said in 2019 when asked why his mission in Europe was not successful: “Sure, the climate. Football itself is not something that stands in your way.
“[Going on loan in Europe] Brings opportunities to learn about different cultures and different schools of play.
“It’s the language, the climate and the separation from family that comes at the end [being bigger obstacles].
“But as a professional athlete, I never let these circumstances get me down because they are part of our footballing career.
“And on the pitch I noticed differences in competitiveness, playing style and tactical discipline.”
