Dead by daylight Developers of Behavior recently released Chapter 22 on the Public Beta Build, and we now know a lot about what will happen with this update. Introducing new perks, new killers, new survivors, new maps, and some quality of life changes to the base game, Behavior constantly updates and improves quality and gameplay play of Dead By Daylight for both sides of the community.
With the upcoming update, there are tons of new builds, gameplay, and features that players must keep in mind to stay one step ahead when it’s officially released.
Artist: The New Killer and Her Perks
The artist is The newest original killer comes from the mind at Behavior. Features of the artist a great unique design with kafkaesque inspiration. Knowing what to expect from her, for both Killer and Survivor, will help with any game you plan to play as or against The Artist.
Her only power is the ability to send up to three Phantasmal Crows that can damage the player if they hit them or by walking through objects, marking them and interrupting any action. any. Her crows provide a great way to apply pressure all over the map and cut through difficult areas in the chase.
Each time a Survivor is connected for the first time, the Artist gets a token. When four of these tokens are reached, all generators are blocked for 30 seconds and the aura of the Haunting is revealed to her for four seconds.
With Grim Embrace, Killers can slow down the tempo considerably. For Slayer, applying pressure all over the map and not tunneling will greatly aid in getting the right value from Grim Embrace. Survivors, however, should try to prevent her from getting all four hooks by playing selflessly.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
At the beginning of the test, up to four random hooks will be changed to disaster hooks. Every time a Survivor gets stuck on these, the generator with the highest progress will explode, lose up to 15% of its progress, and start regressing. Any survivors who were repairing the generators would scream.
Pain Resonance is a great tool to pressurize the generator while not diverting attention from the chase., however, this depends on Killer getting the hook. For the Killer, it was a good way to put pressure on both the chase and onto the generator, but it sacrificed the generator’s ability to guarantee security. As for the Survivor, it’s clear that the Killer exercised this privilege after their first hook and just made sure they immediately hit the generator and stopped repairing while the Killer who is crocheting.
You can see any damaged Totem and revive them as a rekindled Totem with each Totem providing a bonus:
|A rekindled totem||Reduces Survivor’s repair speed by 30%|
|Two Totems are rekindled||Reduces Survivor’s healing speed by 30%.|
|Three Totems are rekindled||Reduces Survivor’s healing speed by 30% when killed.|
|Four luggages are rekindled||Reduces Survivor’s exit gate opening speed by 30%.|
|The year of baggage is rekindled||All totems are blocked by Entities.|
Pentimento is sure to shape the meta and combine great with other Hex perks, as the Survivors must weigh both the gain and loss of each broken Totem. For the Killer, the possibilities are endless with the Pentimento as it is a great perk that poses a challenge that the Survivor must deal with directly. For Survivors, it’s important to decide how to deal with any Hex perks and prioritize bright Totems.
Jonah Vasquez: The New Survivor and His Perks
As the newest addition to the Survivors lineup, Jonah soon became a fan favorite. He is described in the legend as a mathematical genius, in perfect agreement with Behaviour’s originally developed lore. Perhaps, Jonah’s strength and wisdom will give his privileges an edge.
Whenever you are injured, you will maintain Explosive Movement Speed for an additional two seconds.
This is a great perk that will help prolong the chase or ensure an injured Survivor is brought to safety. Passing may end an underrated privilege, as it will combine with cheat builds and will be useful with perks like Dance With Me and Lucky Break, as they will aid in playing mind games.
You will start your trial with up to three Tokens and get an extra (up to five) after every awesome skill test on the generator. Any teammates working on generators with you that miss the skill check will consume a token, turning their failed action into a good one.
However, this is not a great perk for veteran players as skill-based matchmaking has been introduced, it will be useful to any teammates who are inexperienced or slip up occasionally.
Able to bless any Dull or Hex Totem, Boon: Exponential provides a bonus of up to 100% healing speed, and unlocks the ability to self-heal from the Dead State.
Following the Boon Totems trend, The multiplier will be great on minimaps and indoors and, with the right combination of perks of Unbreakable or Endurance Ability, the Killer will have no option to take down.
New Map: Eyrie Of Crows (The Forsaken Boneyard)
Eyrie Of Crows is a medium-sized outdoor map with an extremely desolate atmosphere. There is a main building in the middle with a hollow tree connecting the upper and lower floors. There is a lot of detail in this area.
Seemingly like a forgotten graveyard, the Eyrie Of Crows has matching loops, T and L walls good for Survivors, and great open areas that benefit both the Killer and the Slayer. a group of Good Survivors. Looks like one of the more balanced maps, it doesn’t look like the Eyrie Of Crows will benefit a Killer or a Survivor too much.
The most recent licensed killer, The Cenobite, has garnered the attention of fans of both the Clive Barker and Dead By Daylight movies. With Pinhead’s amazing visual design and his unique powers, many players enjoy playing against and against Cenobite.
With the upcoming Chapter, The Cenobite will continue to receive attention from Behavior, like many of his add-ons will be tweaked or nerfed. Cenobite’s ultra-rare add-ons will receive some changes to balance his features. For The Cenobite, Behavior is focusing on ensuring that his add-ons don’t completely take over the game while ensuring Killer enjoyment while playing him.
Updated user interface
As mentioned earlier, Behavior has added quality-of-life changes to Dead By Daylight for the duration of the game’s life. Many of these changes include bug fixes, unique splash art updates for pre-existing characters, and most importantly, improvements to the overall quality of the game.
In the latest Chapter, Behavior has dramatically cleaned up the User Interface, making small changes that lead to a big impact. There have been useful changes to The perks menu allows the player to bypass specific perks (instead of having to go through them one by one) and also add subtitles for HUD (can be toggled in the options).
NetEase calls it a bug, but others call it a feature.
