ARSENAL fans went wild after an old picture of Erling Haaland in a Gunners kit was posted on social media.
The 21-year-old sensation is set to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer for a bargain £64million.
Manchester City appear to be in pole position for his signature and Haaland is set to jet to Monaco for talks with agent Mino Raiola on Sunday.
But an old photo posted Twitter by Football.London’s Chris Wheatley has caused quite a stir among Arsenal fans.
In the photo, Haaland can be seen in a yellow Gunners away shirt with matching shorts.
The shirt dates from the 2010/11 season and was also used as the away shirt for the next two campaigns, but it is not known when the picture was taken.
Still, some fans have joked that this is a sign that Haaland could travel to the Emirates this summer.
Especially as the club are eyeing a striker with the impending departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
One enthusiastic supporter wrote on social media: “He’ll come home then.”
Meanwhile, another said: “He’s a Gooner through and through.”

Others urged Haaland’s Norwegian teammate Martin Odegaard to help get a deal across the line, with one writing: “Agent Odegaard.”
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, Haaland has also been pictured in various other shirts over the years.
Last year, the goalie was spotted in Leeds United shorts signing autographs for fans.
And the fact that some reports suggest Haaland has already agreed to a move to Manchester City also dampens Arsenal’s chances of signing.
