Enzo Fernandez’s Chelsea shirt number has been ‘leaked’ – but the £107m midfielder is set to miss two favourites

ENZO FERNANDEZ has received his new Chelsea shirt number – but it looks like he’ll be missing out on his two favourites.

The Argentine, who won the 2022 World Cup, has completed his dream move to Chelsea after a late Deadline Day deal.

He will become the most expensive Premier League signing ever at £107million ahead of his official unveiling.

But Fernandez seems to have missed his preferred number 13, which he wore at River Plate and Benfica.

He’s even used the number on his social media accounts, but sadly, Chelsea’s third picker Marcus Bettinelli occupies this shirt.

Fernandez wears the number 24 for Argentina, but again, star right-back Reece James already has the number 24 for the Blues.

Luckily for the new man, the No.5 shirt is now vacant after Jorginho agreed a shock deal with London rivals Arsenal.

And leaked images online have revealed that this is exactly the option Fernandez has opted for.

Jorginho inherited the shirt from Kurt Zouma, who took it from Chelsea legend Michael Essien when he left in 2014.

Fernandez, 22, had a doctor’s visit in Lisbon on Tuesday but talks over the payment structure have stalled.

Eventually an agreement was reached and he signed one EIGHT AND A HALF Annual contract running until June 2031.

The deal dwarfs the £100m Manchester City spent on Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish in 2021.

And Chelsea’s expenses for the last two windows total a whopping £602million when add-ons and loan fees are included.
