ENGLAND have suffered a major setback ahead of their forthcoming internationals against Ukraine and Scotland.
This comes after Jack Grealish and Trent Alexander-Arnold both had to retire from the squad through injury.
A statement from the England team said: “Jack Grealish and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been banned from England’s September games.”
“The couple reported to St George’s Park on Monday but have since withdrawn from the Three Lions roster following an injury investigation ahead of camp.”
“All other players are operational as planned with the exception of Kieran Trippier who will arrive on Wednesday due to a personal commitment.”
England face Ukraine in Saturday’s EURO 2024 qualifier.
Then on September 12th they will take on their Auld opponents at Hampden Park in Scotland.
