ANGEL DI MARIA capped his last game against Paris Saint-Germain with a farewell goal as he left the pitch in tears after a standing ovation.

The 34-year-old was a top scorer in Saturday’s 5-0 win over Metz and claimed his fifth Ligue 1 winners’ medal.

Di Maria will now leave Parc des Princes as a free agent after Les Parisiens opted against a one-year contract extension.

The Argentine winger is now understood to be on target with Juventus on a first contract until 2023.

The old lady has the option to extend his contract for another year next summer.

Di Maria ended his PSG career perfectly after scoring his side’s fifth goal in the defeat by Metz.

He was then mobbed by his jubilant team-mates after scoring his 92nd goal in his 295th and final game since arriving from Manchester United in 2015.

The former Real Madrid striker was then substituted in the 75th minute and the home fans rose to give the player a standing ovation.

His teammates then presented him with a guard of honor as he left the field as they said goodbye one by one.

It was too much for Di Maria, who was brought to tears when Neymar had to comfort him, and his wife Jorgelina Cardoso also left the stands, visibly moved.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi said of his departure: “Angel Di Maria definitely did it [entered] the club history.

“The fans will remember him as a player of impeccable spirit who showed unwavering dedication to defending our colors.”

After the game, Di Maria remained silent about his future as he spoke about the Juve rumours.

He told ESPN: “Juventus deal? No, no – I’m quiet, it’s time, I have to think… it’s not just my decision.

“I always thought of myself and my family. I will make the best choice for everyone: my two daughters, my wife and me.”
