Emma Raducanu is ending her stellar year with a stylish fit.
US Open winner makes British history Wearing a pilot’s hat sitting in the cockpit of a British Airways plane.
And already above cloud nine, she has now added BA to her list of lucrative commercial deals.
And the water bottle company Evian is also on her endorsement list.
Raducanu will be BA’s global ambassador – a title befitting her diverse background.
She was born in Canada to a Chinese mother and Romanian father, before moving to England at the age of two.
BA will go on to bring in the first British women to win a Grand Slam singles title in 44 years of her participation in tournaments around the world.
She said: “British Airways has taken great care of my team and me since the US Open and I have felt their support everywhere I have flown.
“To be partnered with an iconic British brand that can play such an important role in my performance means a lot to me.
“I’m fascinated by aviation and we have some interesting projects planned together.”
Raducanu missed picking SPOTY in mid-December while she was in quarantine in Abu Dhabi with Covid.
But she called up the live feed from her hotel room to thank sports fans for the ‘honour’.
