Raducanu, 20, has been suffering from pain for ten months due to repeated injuries to the bones of both hands.

And despite being unable to attend the French Open and Wimbledon due to the surgeries, the young player appeared upbeat as she attended a private party at the George Club in Mayfair, London.

She shone in a black dress which she complemented with a necklace and clutch bag.

Beaming from ear to ear, Raducanu gave a thumbs-up showing her bandaged left wrist.

The world number 106 is expected to be out of action for the next few months and possibly the US Open as well.

Raducanu updated fans on her condition, saying: “It’s safe to say the last ten months have been difficult as I’ve been dealing with a recurring injury to a bone in both hands.”

“I’ve been doing my best to manage the pain and play through it for most of this year and late last year by drastically reducing the training load, skipping weeks of training and stopping last season to heal it . Unfortunately I it is not enough.

“I have a small procedure done on both hands to fix the problems.

“I’m disappointed to report that I will be out for the next few months while I have another minor operation on my ankle.”

“It pains me that I will miss the summer events and I have tried to downplay the problems so I thank all my fans who have continued to support me when the facts were unknown.”

“I look forward to seeing you all back out there.”
