Delgado’s wife told TMZ that the actor passed away Thursday, surrounded by family members, at their home in New York City. She said her husband was diagnosed with a form of blood cancer in December 2020.
Delgado will forever be remembered for his role Sesame StreetLuis Rodriguez, the most famous repairman in the block. A proficient guitar player and proud Mexican-American, Luis made his public debut in 1971, then married his wife Maria (played by Sonia Manzao) in 1988. A year later, they welcomed a daughter named Gabi.
