Elon Musk is spending big bucks to keep his dad safe and surrounds himself with guards for fear of kidnapping

ELON Musk has spent big bucks to boost his father’s security and surrounds himself with bodyguards over kidnapping fears, The US Sun can exclusively reveal.
The tech tycoon’s father, Errol, says Elon, 51, has invested in top-notch protection for him at his home in South Africa.

The retired engineer, 76, revealed his son fears kidnappers could make “the fastest $20 million ever” by targeting his family.
Elon said last month he fears for his life after releasing the Twitter files, which he says reveal collusion between the US government and the social media platform to censor content.
The Twitter owner also suspended an account that tracked his private jet and journalists who retweeted his posts.
The father-of-eight claimed that this led to a “crazy stalker” who allegedly followed a car carrying his young son X Æ A-12 in LA, adding that the account was “basically my exact real-time Posted location murder coordinates.”

Regarding Elon’s security concerns, Errol said: “He has decided after the recent threats against him that I also need protection.
“If they kidnap one of us, it will be the fastest $20 million anyone has ever made in their life.
“I think Elon is a bit naïve when it comes to the enemies he’s making, especially with the Twitter files.
“I’m not scared, but I’m really scared that something could happen to Elon even though he has about 100 security guards around him.
“I think it’s a matter of time before one of the people he’s going to expose with the Twitter files says, ‘I don’t want to go to jail,’ get Elon out. It’s not witchcraft.”
Errol says that due to the increasing threats against Elon over the past month, his son’s team has increased security at his home.
These include a high-tech camera system, electric fences and 24-hour surveillance by “armed to the teeth” guards.
Speaking of the new facility, Errol said: “Elon’s people contacted me to say they wanted to fully secure my home.
“I received a message from this security company in December that they had instructions to secure the house.
“So now I have nine cameras throughout the house that are monitored 24/7 and which I can monitor on my phone and TV.
“They also installed an electric fence around my house.
“I have top-notch security now. It’s incredible.
“It has everything, including backup power, so it works whether we have load shedding or not.
“They installed everything imaginable here.
“I now have a quarter-million rand ($14,600) security system with armed response from a new security company in my town, which I hear is pretty good.
“They are 100 percent focused on me. It’s a new, super-big security company that’s armed to the teeth.
“They control me all the time. If they see a stranger’s car in my driveway, they’ll come in and ask me if I’m okay.
“I hate living like this, but I’ve lived like this in Johannesburg and Pretoria and I understand where that comes from.”
Errol explained that the improved security measures were overdue as he had four burglaries in the last year.
He added: “They came in and stole two large TVs.”
Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon said after his $44 billion takeover of Twitter in October that he believes he could face possible assassination attempts.
He said: “Honestly, the risk of something bad happening or even getting shot, literally, is pretty big.
“I’m definitely not going to do any open-air car parades, let me put it that way.
“It’s not that hard to kill me if someone wanted to, so hopefully they don’t do it.”
Last September, The US Sun revealed how Errol killed three Clint Eastwood-style armed intruders in South Africa in 1998 while his then six-year-old daughter Ali was clinging to his leg.
Errol said Ali later told a trauma psychologist that she felt okay about the shooting “because my dad won.”

Last year, The US Sun revealed Errol’s claims that he had fathered a second child with his stepdaughter Jana and that he had been asked to donate his sperm to impregnate high-class women in Colombia.
The US Sun also reported on Errol’s claim that Elon told him he was “really busy” after announcing his first child with Jana in 2018, and how he believes Elon would make a good president despite his naivety.
