Ellen DeGeneres’ ex Anne Heche wears a red wig in the haunting final picture taken just minutes before the fatal car crash

A haunting final image from Anne Heche shows the actress just 21 minutes before she was involved in a high-speed accident.
The actress, who died in horror, visited a hair salon in Venice Beach last Friday where she bought a $125 red wig.

Less than half an hour later, her car crashed into a Los Angeles home, leaving her with a severe brain injury.
Pictures taken just before the accident appear to show the red wig on the seat of her car.
Heche’s family said Thursday the star was on life support due to a possible organ donation.
Los Angeles Police Department officials told TMZ that the actress was under the influence of cocaine and possibly fentanyl at the time of the accident.

Salon owner Richard Glass shared the last picture of the star on Instagram just before the crash, writing, “So today I met @anneheche and she just so happened to buy a #redwig.
“I love #venicebeach #actress #director #mother #celebrity #lifestyle.”
Glass later told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that she seemed unaffected when they met, adding: “She was very, very affectionate. Very personable and very polite.”
The business owner said he got back to work after posting the picture when his “alarm went off”.
Glass added, “From there I see she had an accident. And I’m down. I’m like ‘oh my god’ and I’m just praying that I hope she’s okay.”
Heche, who dated Ellen DeGeneres, suffered a “severe anoxic brain injury,” her family said in a statement.

“She is not expected to survive,” the statement said.
“It has long been her decision to donate her organs and she is being kept alive to determine if any are viable.”
Earlier Thursday, police said they were investigating Heche for drink driving.
Detectives with a search warrant took a blood sample from her and found narcotics in her system, LAPD spokesman Officer Jeff Lee said.
Toxicology tests, which can take weeks, must be performed to more positively identify the drugs and distinguish them from any drugs she may have received for hospital treatment.
Anne was reportedly driving at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles prior to the accident.
Video footage showed Anne appearing to be speeding down a residential street in her blue Mini Cooper.
A neighbor claimed that he heard Anne plowing into an apartment complex’s garage as scores of local residents rushed to her aid.
But Anne instead ignored her attempts to help and put it into reverse before driving off again, onlookers claimed.
She then sped through a hedge and slammed into a nearby house before the house and her Mini Cooper burst into flames.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, 59 firefighters spent 65 minutes battling the “persistent flames.”
Dramatic photos of the wreckage showed their mangled vehicle being towed away after Anne was pulled from the burning car by firefighters.
She was seen on a stretcher before being taken to the hospital around 11 a.m. local time.
Heche, 53, was one of the most prominent movie stars in Hollywood in the late 1990s.
She starred alongside Johnny Depp in Donnie Brasco and Harrison Ford in Six Days Seven Nights.
She recently had recurring roles on the television series Chicago PD and All Rise, and was a 2020 contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

“Anne had a big heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work — specifically, moving the needle in acceptance of the one you love,” Thursday’s statement said.
“She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and will be greatly missed for her light.”
