EIGHT adults were injured after a passenger vehicle crashed into a building at Tomas Rivera Middle School.
Authorities said three of the injured were moderate and five were minor. However, none of the cases were life-threatening.
No children were injured in the incident.
The crash happened around 1:14 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff. Edward Soto.
Soto told City News Service: “The driver crashed into the building, causing injuries to the victims.
The driver was among the injured, however, their name remains unknown at this time.
Multiple emergency units were dispatched to the scene, finding the sedan had crashed into one of the buildings on campus, occupying almost the entire neighborhood.
“Tomas Rivera Middle School initiated a shelter-in-place due to a traffic collision that occurred on campus,” the Val Verde Unified School District Police Department wrote on Twitter.
“Several staff members were injured. No students were injured.”
People have been warned to stay away from the area.
