At least eight people were injured when two mass shootings hit Chicago just hours apart.

A 14-year-old teenager was among the victims after being shot in the arm on June 7.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the face while a 45-year-old woman sustained a chest wound, NBC Chicago reports.

Cops said a fourth person was shot in the arm.

The shooter has not been identified as the investigation continues.

Just hours later, four people were shot dead while standing on a sidewalk in the West Side neighborhood.

Police announced that two women, 30 and 43, were found in serious condition.

Meanwhile, a man, who has not been identified, was shot in the leg while another sustained a shoulder injury.

Police said both victims were in good condition.

Police have announced that no arrests have been made.

A total of fifteen people were shot dead on Tuesday and police confirmed there was one death.

Meanwhile, on June 8, two people were killed and five injured as gun violence raged across the city, Fox32 reported.

A 43-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head while a 24-year-old woman was killed in the back seat of a car.

The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead.

A 21-year-old man, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital in serious condition after being shot while standing on the porch.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, more than 90 people were killed in mass shootings in Chicago between September 29, 2018 and May 24, 2022.

Researchers define a mass shooting as an event in which four or more people were shot or killed, excluding the shooter.

Statistics show that 811 is the total number of those killed and injured as a result of gun violence.

Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore and Houston make up the top 5 cities.

Arthur Lurigio, a professor of criminal justice, told CBS News that police must try to restore trust in the people of Chicago’s boroughs.

At least five people were killed while 21 were injured when a series of shootings rocked Chicago over Memorial Day weekend.

“SHOOT LIKE CRAZY”

And two people died and seven were injured after a shooting broke out outside a McDonalds restaurant in the city on May 19, the Chicago Tribune reported.

One person suffered burns after reportedly being injured on the Red Line subway, a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department told the Tribune.

A witness said the victim was partially clothed and suffered injuries to her back.

Witness Deonna Jackson, 18, told the Chicago Sun-Times at the time: “We were on July 11th, we turn around and they just shoot like crazy.”

She told the Tribune: “I got off the train and I saw a group of teenagers fighting.

“The teenagers charged at me and all attacked one person – they jumped on someone.”

The shooting happened near the city’s main shopping district known as the Magnificent Mile.

And Sean Holliday, 16, died after being attacked after an argument near the famous Bean sculpture on May 14, Fox32 reported.

The teenager was taken to hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead by medics.
