When the fight was announced, Hearn initially had Davis as his proposed winner.
“He is [Davis] being beaten against Ryan Garcia. Ryan Garcia is very long and has very fast hands. Where is he [Davis] On the other hand, Hector Garcia struggled a bit with the range. Well, Ryan Garcia has even more reach than Hector Garcia and he hits harder,” Hearn told Boxing Social.
“I’m giving Ryan Garcia a chance in this fight, no question, but if you ask me who’s winning, I’ll say ‘Tank’.”
However, Hearn changed his mind – now he predicted Garcia will win by stoppage.

Hearn said, “I think Tank is the favorite in the fight, but I give Ryan Garcia a lot more chances than I originally did and that’s because they give Ryan Garcia a chance after talking to fighters, especially young fighters, they both know him to win this fight.
“I think he hits very hard and ‘Tank’ gets hit, but Ryan is also exposed when he throws and ‘Tank’ is very smart.
“So I think ‘Tank’ is the favorite but I’m going to pick Ryan Garcia by stoppage. Just something in my head says Ryan could do something special tonight.”
Davis, 28, and Garcia, 24, will compete April 22 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The two American superstars compete in their 136 lb. Catch weight + 10 lbs. Rehydration Clause.
Garcia, who currently holds a 23-0 record with 19 knockouts, lacks the experience of Davis considering Garcia has only fought one decent opponent (Luke Campbell) in his seven-year pro career.
Davis currently sits with a 28-0 record with 26 knockouts.
