EastEnders Badboy returns in shock after seven years

EastEnders villain Ryan Malloy returns to Albert Square following the pregnancy of daughter Lily.
The character, who last appeared on screen seven years ago, will rush to Walford for answers about how his 12-year-old is expecting a baby.

The brief stint, which will begin in February, will see Ryan (played again by Neil McDermott) return with all weapons to set things straight.
Given that he literally ended up in prison for accidentally killing Rob Grayson (Jody Latham) while protecting his half-sister Whitney (Shona McGarty), it’s fair to say some people better be careful.
Luckily we don’t have to wait too long to see what unfolds.
He was last seen as a surprise guest at Whitney’s wedding to Lee Carter in November 2016 after his early release from prison. He later moved to Wakefield with his prison officer’s wife.
“Once I heard what the story was I was really pleased that the stars aligned and I was able to revisit Ryan and step back on the pitch,” actor Neil said of his return.
“It was so nice to see so many old friends again and to work with Shona [McGarty] and Lacey [Turner] again, as well as meeting and working with Ryan’s daughter, beautifully played by Lillia.”
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer on the show added, “It’s wonderful to welcome Neil back in the role of Ryan Malloy.
“Even though we haven’t seen Ryan in a number of years, his character is still intertwined with the story of two of the show’s main characters, Stacey and Whitney.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him back for a short time while he’s thrust into the heart of the drama.”
