DWTS’ Alfonso Ribeiro announces his “serious” injury on Live as Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos left shocked at the news

DANCING With The Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro has revealed a serious injury on Live With Kelly and Mark.
Co-hosts Kelly Ripa, 52, and Mark Consuelos, 52, appeared shocked by Alfonso’s confession on Friday’s live episode.
Before dropping the bombshell, Alfonso, 52, enjoyed talking baseball with Kelly’s husband.
After Mark admitted his hitting weakness, the DWTS host shared, “The interesting thing about baseball is that I think it runs in our family to get hurt a lot.”
“I had a concussion last week.”
Kelly’s jaw dropped as she said, “Oh my God! That is serious!”

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum continued, “I was standing off to the side and I felt like I was writing someone’s number on my phone…AND BOOM!”
Alfonso shuffled around in his chair as Kelly replied, “Oh no!”
He pointed to his head and continued: “A ball to the back of the head! Right in the back.”
Waving his arms, the 52-year-old actor continued: “For about three days I was like, Huh? What?”

Alfonso ended jokingly: “My wife seems to think I just said I didn’t want to do anything around the house.”
“That wasn’t it. It was a good hit.”
Mark finished: “You were lucky, it was just a good hit.”
The couple then conducted the interview for the dance competition show, which is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, September 26th.
PREPARING FOR THE PREMIERE
The Silver Spoons alum will return to the program without co-host Tyra Branks, 49.
In March, the supermodel announced she was stepping away from the show to focus on her business.
In the 32nd season, Alfonso will co-host with professional dancer Julianne Hough, 35.
On Wednesday, September 13, Good Morning America introduced the new lineup of contestants and professionals.
The cast includes Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, 38; Jamie Lynn Spears, 32; NFL star Adrian Peterson, 38, and How I Met Your Mother actress Alyson Hannigan, 49.
Derek Hough, 38; Carrie Ann Inaba, 55; and Bruno Tonioli, 67, will return as judges – without the late Len Goodman, who died earlier this year.
CANCEL
Just days before the premiere, 58-year-old Veep actor Matt Walsh removed himself from the cast.
Due to the ongoing strikes by the Writer’s Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild, Matt explained his decision deadline: “I am taking a break from Dancing with the Stars until an agreement is reached with the WGA.
“I was excited to join the show and did so under the impression that it was not a WGA show and was under a different agreement.”
Matt concluded with: “This morning, when I was informed by my union, the WGA, that this was strike work, I walked out of my rehearsal.

“I have stood and will always stand alongside my union members from the WGA, SAG and DGA.”
Accordingly, the premiere of season 32 will be around two and a half hours long diversity.
