Dwayne Haskins Cause of Death News – Witness saw ‘Steelers star arms raised 6 minutes before crash on freeway’

A POSSIBLE witness has come forward and said he thinks he saw NFL star Dwayne Haskins walking in the street minutes before he died.
Chris Stanley said he noticed cars swerving into the other lane on his way home from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
According to one report, Stanley said, “I was in the left lane, and then there was the right lane, and then I noticed a person coming out onto the road there.”
He said he “saw the man’s arms raised.”
Stanley reportedly dialed 9-1-1 to report the incident just six minutes before the fatal accident.
Haskins tragically died after being hit by a dump truck just weeks after signing a new contract.
The quarterback was killed Saturday morning while trying to cross the I-595 freeway on foot around 7 a.m. in Boca Raton, south of Palm Beach, Fla., where the team trains.

Ohio State University senior vice president and athletic director Gene Smith took to Twitter on Sunday to express his sadness at the death of Dwayne Haskins.
Alongside a photo of him and Haskins, Smith wrote: “Shocked and saddened by the devastating news about Dwayne.
“He was a legend on the field and really a great person.

The driver says he saw a man on the freeway, continued
Stanley told NBC 6, “And what I noticed was a Mack truck or a big tractor-trailer with another vehicle that started moving a little bit to the left.
“I was in the left lane and then there was the right lane.
The driver said the person on the road raised his arms as he appeared to be gradually moving onto the freeway.
“He was about halfway, about a quarter of the way in the right lane, already on the freeway and I was already afraid someone was going to hit him at that precise moment,” he explained.

The driver reports seeing a man on the freeway
A driver told NBC 6 South Florida how he thinks he saw Haskins just minutes before the fatal accident.
Chris Stanley, who said he was on his way home after dropping his daughter off at Fort Lauderdale Airport, thinks he saw the footballer on I-595 heading west.
Stanley said he was heading to the Interstate 95 Northern exit when he noticed other vehicles swerving slightly to the left.

Insight into the aftermath of Haskins’ death, continued
A few minutes later, paramedics and firefighters were heard saying, “Engine 6 has arrived” and “it’s on 595 westbound before the exit.”
“We have one person on the ground,” someone said over the radio.
At 6.47am a “signal seven” was given, meaning someone had died.

Radio transmissions provide insight into the aftermath of Haskins’ death
Archived radio shows on Broadcastify showed how authorities and paramedics responded to Haskins’ death over the weekend, reports the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
According to the broadcasts, around 6:40 p.m., the Boward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue dispatcher said, “This appears to be a vehicle versus pedestrian.”
Within minutes, a dispatcher said, “Caller said a man was hit by a dump truck at 6:41 a.m. on Westbound 595 off the I-95 exit.”

Schefter added, “I wanted to apologize to Dwayne’s family, friends and players in the NFL and offer my condolences to everyone close to Dwayne.
“And just like I failed on Saturday, I wanted to draw people’s attention to remembering Dwayne properly.”

On his podcast, Adam Schefter called his Dwayne Haskins tweet “insensitive.”
He said: “It was a mistake and I can assure you it was not my intention. I wish I could have that tweet back.
“The focus should have been on Dwayne … who he was as a person, husband, friend and so much more.”
