Duquesne University Breaks Into New Medical College – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Leaders at Duquesne University gathered Tuesday morning to break ground on a new medical college on Forbes Avenue.

That’s the proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the university said it hopes to provide training for the next generation of doctors at a time when demand is growing.

Duquesne hopes to open the school in the fall of 2024, starting with 85 schools and increasing enrollment to 170 schools by 2026.

The plan is to result in a total of more than 600 students enrolled over four years by the 2029 school year.
