The news was confirmed by a spokesman for the popular coffee chain.

“As we focus on innovation and finding new ways to delight guests, we’re continually evolving our menu to deliver a fast, frictionless experience,” Dunkin”s statement began, according to TODAY.
“The Dunkaccino is retired for now, but there’s always a chance he’ll return in the future.”
A blend of hot chocolate and coffee flavors, the Dunkaccino debuted in 2000.
The frozen version of the drink, which added to the menu in 2015, has also been discontinued, according to TODAY.

News of the drink’s possible discontinuation began circulating in 2022.
Fans took to Twitter to share that their local stores are no longer promoting the drink.
“Today is a sad day. I’m in a Dunkin’ and just found out they discontinued the Dunkaccino… This drink is the whole reason I started going to Dunkin’ (thanks to the memes) and now it’s gone forever”, tweeted one fan in July 2022.
Fans were disheartened upon learning of the Dunkaccino’s sinking.
“Dunkaccino will be officially dead soon… Please respect my privacy during this time,” one fan tweeted.
“Hot cocoa with an espresso shot is basically a dunkaccino. My wife had to order it like this for a while. Off the menu on our necks for about a year,” shared another fan.
“One last one. RIP Dunkaccino 2000-2023,” wrote another.
However, some employees were quick to admit that the drink’s popularity had waned.
“When I worked for Dunkin, we had a bucket of Dunkaccino powder that went completely, completely and utterly unused for the year I worked there. We may have received an order in that entire span,” wrote a former employee.
The US Sun has reached out to Dunkin’ for further comment.
