Dunkin’ confirms the discontinued fan favorite drink – and customers shouldn’t wait for it again any time soon

DUNKIN’ has confirmed that it has permanently discontinued a popular coffee option.

Fans are heartbroken after the coffee chain also scrapped its beloved Dunkaccino earlier this week.

This week, a Dunkin’ fan tweeted the brand to ask why they hadn’t seen their favorite item.

“Are you bringing back the Skinny Peppermint Coffee?” the user wrote.

“That was my favorite!”

But Dunkin’ was quick to reply to confirm that the Thin Mint Flavor Swirl is gone for good.

“We appreciate your passion for DD!” wrote Dunkin’.

“Sometimes we offer menu items for a limited time tied to major holidays, or as a seasonal offer!

“At this time we have no plans to bring back the Thin Mint Flavor Swirl, but we will definitely pass on your feedback.”

WHAT WAS THE THIN MINT SWIRL?

The flavor, which blends cool mint and rich chocolate, was previously dropped and reintroduced several times in recent years.

During that time, it developed quite a following among Dunkin’ fans.

The drink was inspired by the legendary Girl Scout Cookies.

Dunkin’ also sold a coconut caramel flavored variety, which was also scrapped.

But those aren’t the only popular options the chain has recently dropped.

Earlier this week, the brand officially announced that it had “retired” the Dunkaccino.

The mix of hot chocolate and coffee has been on the Dunkin’ menu for 23 years.

Even the newer frozen version is gone too.

A statement from Dunkin’ said: “As we focus on innovation and finding new ways to delight guests, we are continually evolving our menu to provide a fast, frictionless experience.

“The Dunkaccino is retired for now, but there’s always a chance he’ll return in the future.”
