Duggar fans watch pregnant Joy-Anna break the family’s strict etiquette in a new video

JOY-ANNA Duggar has defied her family’s strict dress code while celebrating her son’s birthday in a new video.

The Counting On alum sported a more relaxed style in her latest YouTube video, which was posted Saturday.

In the clip, pregnant Joy-Anna, 25, went against the conservative rules of her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, by dressing as she baked a cake with her two children, Gideon, five, and Evelyn, two.

The TLC star wore a gray T-shirt that read “Mama” and skinny blue jeans – instead of her family’s preferred long skirts or dresses.

She filmed the process of baking the two-layered treat, which was intended for her son Gideon, whose birthday was February 23.

The youngsters were excited to take part in the preparation of the dessert, especially after seeing the toy truck to be used as the cake topper.

Joy-Anna then showed the trio each step of adding the ingredients and pouring the contents into baking pans.

She even photographed the birthday girl licking the leftover batter from the bowl while the cake was in the oven.

After the cake was finished baking, the group glazed and decorated it with red and blue paint and lots of sprinkles, and placed the toy truck on top.

Joy-Anna’s husband, Austin Forsyth, 29, later joined them to sing “Happy Birthday” to an excited Gideon before blowing out his candles.

The video continued to document the remainder of the weekend’s celebrations to celebrate the tot’s special day.

REBEL DUGGAR

This certainly wasn’t the first time Joy-Anna broke the rules when it came to her wardrobe.

Earlier this week, the mother-of-two shared a mirror selfie to show off her growing baby bump.

With one hand holding the phone, the other was placed on her baby bump as she turned sideways and smiled for the camera.

The TV star wore a long-sleeved green shirt and distressed blue jeans that tied at the ankle.

She wore her long brunette locks flowing down with glasses and bare feet for the snap, which she noted at 28 weeks pregnant.

BABY NEWS

Joy-Anna announced in October 2022 that she was pregnant with her third child after weeks of hinting.

She and Austin gathered with their two children to reveal the baby news on social media.

She captioned the post: “Baby #3 is on the way! The full video is now on YouTube!”

The following month, Joy-Anna showed off her baby bump for the first time.

And in December 2022, the couple announced their unborn child would be a boy with a gender reveal party attended by their parents and many of their 18 siblings.

SPECIAL UPDATE

Sharing an update during a recent doctor’s appointment, Joy-Anna said: “Baby boy is fine.

“His heartbeat… we need to hear him today. I have an appointment next week.”

She sniffed and added: “I get to do an ultrasound. I’m so excited! You can see so many little features!”

The star concluded: “I can’t believe I’m this close anyway! It’s crazy! About 10, 11 weeks to go!”
