Dube T20 stats and records before IPL 2022

Multi-talented person Shivam Dube was purchased by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for 4 crore on Day 2 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction on Sunday.

The 28-year-old previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL. He had a decent season for RR last year, scoring 230 runs in nine games for an average of 28.75. His best of 64* had 42 deliveries compared to the franchise that picked him up Sunday at auction.

Dube has a base price of ₹50 lakh. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) both bid on him before CSK joined and eventually acquired the almighty’s services. It was a moment of double joy for the cricketer as he was also blessed with a baby boy on Sunday.

The left-hander made his T20 debut for Mumbai in 2016. So far, he has played in 69 T20 games, scoring 1020 runs averaging 21.70 and strike rate 133.81. Dube is credited for three centuries with a best record of 64.

With his average speed, Dube won 33 shots at an average of 31.87 and an economy rate of 8.73. He has the best metric of 3 for 27 in the format.

He also played 13 T20Is for India from November 2019 to February 2020. Dube scored 105 runs with a best 54, averaging 17.50 with a strike rate of 136.36. He conceded 34 passes in the T20I match against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui and hasn’t worn an Indian shirt since.
