Dubbed the ‘next Olivia Dunne’ in Andreea Dragoi’s stunning rise from Romanian upbringing to model queen

ANDREEA DRAGOI is the swimming sensation and model synonymous with American stardom.

The 20-year-old swimmer came to the States from Romania and has already made waves.

Dragoi was born in the capital Bucharest and competed in World and European Junior Championships.

She attended the International School of Bucharest before moving to California.

Growing up in Romania, she spent every hour she could either swimming, dancing or modeling.

And it helped her achieve her dream of moving to California.

Speaking to Miss Europe Continental, she said: “Since I was 6 years old I have worked so hard to achieve all my goals and to make my dreams come true.

“I was a very active kid with lots of energy, so my mom involved me in a lot of activities like swimming lessons, modeling lessons, ballet lessons and dancing.

“After many years of hard training, competition and many ups and downs, I realized how grateful I am that I never gave up swimming.

“This journey made me the person I am today. A strong, ambitious, confident woman who can overcome obstacles that the little girl in her never thought she could do.”

Andreea is a student at San Jose State University in California.

While attending college in California, she majored in kinesiology, exercise management, and psychology.

And the Romanian-born star is poised for a rise like college gymnastics superstar Olivia Dunne.

LSU star Dunne has turned her massive social media following into $2 million a year in revenue.

Andreea also competes in beauty pageants and was the winner of this year’s Miss Ambassador and Miss California US Nation pageants.

Speaking on the SwimSwam podcast, she said: “I started modeling in the summer of 2019, just before I moved around the world to study in the US.

“I went to an agency and did a modeling class with them for a month. They taught me everything I knew.

“After that, I continued to have photoshoots and do TV shows and runway models.”
