The insurance company has released details of the different types of discounts that drivers it insures can benefit from.
1. AIR BAG
A simple airbag in a car’s steering wheel is seen by Geico as a safety feature that could mean a price reduction of over 20 percent.
In fact, the federal government requires automakers to install driver and passenger airbags for frontal impact protection in all passenger cars, light trucks and vans.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, this has been the case since the 1999 model year.

Installing this incredibly common feature in your car could save you a 23 percent discount on your insurance with Geico.
2. THEFT PROTECTION
Geico proves it’s serious about helping people whose cars are equipped with security features, as it also gives drivers a discount if their vehicle has an anti-theft system.
The job of anti-theft systems is to minimize the chances of your car being stolen by enhancing the vehicle’s security system.
There are different types of anti-theft systems that a car can be fitted with – some are more high tech than others.
An audible alarm is a security system that’s standard on many current cars, according to insurance company HiRoad.
Regardless of the type of system you use to protect your car, Geico could get you a 23 percent discount just for having a security system in the first place.
People can always install an anti-theft system in their vehicle or upgrade the system they already have in their car as various devices are available in the market.
Although most car manufacturers equip new cars with numerous safety devices, you can always be more careful and increase the level of safety by opting for additional safety devices for your car.
3. ANTI-LOCK BRAKES
Another common car feature that could get you a discount on your car insurance with Geico is anti-lock braking.
The discount someone whose car is insured with Geico could get if they have anti-lock braking systems (ABS) is five percent.
The discount for the anti-lock braking system is not as high as the discount for the airbag function and the anti-theft system, but most cars have all three systems, which could mean a number of price reductions for drivers.
ABS became standard on all vehicles in 2004.
ABS became a legal requirement for all automakers this year, insurance company Jerry reported.
Although it was standard equipment in vehicles from the early 2000s, ABS has actually been around, and even in cars, for much longer.
ABS was first introduced on airplanes in the 1920s and later adapted in the 1950s to prevent skidding on motorcycles.

By the late 1960s, Ford had adapted ABS technology to make it compatible with some of its earliest cars.
