The fed-up protester can be seen shouting at the Chinese city of Chongqing, Sichuan province, while a crowd listens and films.
He can reportedly be heard screaming, “Give me freedom or give me death!”.
The man branded a local hero continues to blast Xi-Jinping’s ruthless zero-Covid policy.
The man is seen being forcibly dragged away by police only to be freed moments later with the help of an angry mob.

Authorities try to hold back the protesters, who eventually help free the man from police grasp.
The video cuts off as the man walks away and the crowd cheers.
The brave protester was able to return home with his parents and has not been charged, according to local reports.
It comes after 400 million people in China were thrown into lockdown following reports of record high infections – nearly three years after the pandemic first broke out in Wuhan.
Authorities have imposed a lockdown on Beijing as part of China’s strict “zero Covid” lockdown measures.
Schools, restaurants, gyms, beauty salons and other establishments were closed this week.
Meanwhile, other cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing have tightened Covid restrictions as cases have risen.
Earlier today, hundreds of workers at the world’s largest iPhone factory in Zhengzhou clashed with police amid riots that broke out at the factory.

Protesters in hazmat suits were seen attacking officers in shocking scenes outside the factory.
The riots were sparked after strict Covid rules were reinstated at the plant.
