dr Jen Ashton hints at a major new career move while chatting with GMA co-hosts Rhiannon Ally and DeMarco Morgan
DR. Jennifer Ashton has announced that she will be filming a Groundhog Day segment in Pennsylvania next year.
The 53-year-old Good Morning America star admitted she’s “obsessed” with Punxsutawney Phil, a groundhog who lives in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

Jennifer shared her love for Punxsutawney Phil while chatting with GMA3 co-hosts Rhiannon Ally and DeMarco Morgan about Groundhog Day – which takes place on Thursday February 2nd.
A video at the beginning of the episode showed Punxsutawney Phil and Staten Island groundhog Chuck on Staten Island.
Jennifer then gushed, “I swear it’s on my wish list to actually see Punxsutawney Phil.
“I can’t explain it, but I swear I’ve always wanted to be there.”
Rhiannon teased, “You know we can do this for you.
Jennifer smiled shyly and admitted, “I know. That’s what our executive producer said. Maybe next year.”
She couldn’t resist returning to the subject a few minutes later, saying she was “obsessed” with Punxsutawney Phil.
Rhiannon suggested, “We should at least get you to Staten Island next year.”

Jennifer laughed and revealed her alternative travel plans.
“Well, I think DeMarco should go to Staten Island and I should go to Pennsylvania,” the doctor said.
Jennifer returned to GMA3 last month after taking some time off over the holidays.
She spent time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as well as in Hawaii over New Year’s Eve.
The TV star rang in the New Year with her husband Tom Werner and their two children Alex and Chloe.
Jennifer shared a sweet photo of them all posing on a boat at sunset and captioned it: “Happy 2023!”
Just a few days later, she was also enjoying a ski trip in Utah.
Jennifer announced in mid-December that she was taking a break from GMA to go on vacation.
The news came just days after she told her Instagram fans that she had left Twitter.
Jennifer revealed that she had deactivated her Twitter account.
She described the “hate/anger/nastyness and irritability” as “too much.”
During her sabbatical from GMA, Jennifer was treated by Dr. Darien Sutton replaced.
