Diallo secured loan for Rangers
Manchester United’s Amad Diallo has joined Scottish Premier League champions Rangers until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger has only made nine first-team appearances since joining the club in a £37million move from Italy’s Atalanta a year ago.
Diallo said: “I am delighted to be joining Rangers until the end of the season.
“It is fantastic for me at this stage of my career to have the opportunity to come to a big club that is challenging on many fronts and will give me some great opportunities to try my hand at a variety of environments. school.
“I look forward to training with my teammates for the first time tomorrow and meeting the fans for the first time in Ross County on Saturday.”
Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is currently top of the Rangers league and is delighted to have completed a move for the teenager who still has made just 17 first-team appearances in his career for Atalanta, United and Ivory Coast combined.
“I am really pleased to have added Amad to our squad for the remainder of the season,” said Van Bronchhorst.
“He is a player I have known for a long time, and when the opportunity came to sign him we were very keen to make it happen.
“He will add a lot to our squad and provide more competition for the players in the front area.”
There are no options for a player purchase at the end of the loan term as United still see the winger as one of their futures.
He made just one first appearance this season in United’s final Champions League group stage game as the team progressed through to the knockout stages.
