Donald Trump campaign rally LIVE — The former president speaks in South Carolina following controversial constitutional complaints
Former President Donald Trump revived his campaign rallies on Saturday.
He started the day in New Hampshire to deliver the keynote address for the annual meeting of the New Hampshire Republican Party.
He then spoke to local government officials in South Carolina to raise political issues for his campaign.
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham also spoke at the event and announced his support for the former President.
The political events came after Trump called for the repeal of the constitution to overturn the 2020 election results.
Trump wrote on Truth Social in December: “Throw out the results of the 2020 presidential election and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?
A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the repeal of all rules, regulations and articles, even those contained in the Constitution.”

What the Constitution says about running
The constitution allows Trump to run for a second run for the White House after losing in 2020 — his team has previously indicated he could seek another term in 2024.
The 22nd Amendment states: “No one shall be elected to the office of President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President for more than two years of any term or has served as President to whom another person belongs to the President elected shall be elected to the office of President more than once.”

Historical precedent
If Trump decides to run in 2024, the Republican would follow the precedent set by Grover Cleveland.
He lost his re-election to Republican Benjamin Harrison in 1884, and decided to run again for president four years later.
Cleveland won, becoming the 24th president by not serving consecutive terms.

He claimed there were mass fentanyl and drug overdoses under President Biden.

Trump claimed inflation was caused by energy.

He added that “rapists and murderers” crossed the border.
