Does this 1995 video of Mike Tyson fight time travel ‘prove’ after a fan was spotted holding an ‘iPhone’ in a crowd?

BOXING fans have bizarrely claimed they have evidence of time travel in an old clip of Mike Tyson fighting Peter McNeeley.

The 1995 clip shows the couple facing each other – but it’s one member of the audience who catches her eye.

A bystander in the crowd appears to be taking photos on what appears to be an iPhone – 12 years before the device debuted.

Bewildered social media users say the handheld item looks suspiciously like a camera phone, even though the first one wasn’t released until 2000.

One user commented: “1995 fight between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeeley in Las Vegas.

“Someone in the crowd is seen taking a photo of what appears to be a smartphone or pre-90s device. Aliens!”

Another added: “I don’t know if it’s a time traveler or not but no one can explain what camera it is; a QV-100 doesn’t have a silver bit on the right, and this camera doesn’t seem to have a black line under the lens.”

A third replied: “It definitely looks like a smartphone, that’s creepy.”

But others quashed any rumors of time travel, pointing out that it couldn’t be a smartphone.

One said: “His face is not lit by the display. Even the people around him don’t care.

“During that time, if someone was holding a screen with anything on it, everyone would be staring at it.”

A second added: “There were small digital cameras back then that looked similar to what this man is holding. They also recorded videos. Why is it only assumed that it could be a smartphone?”

Although camera phones didn’t arrive until five years later, a range of handheld cameras was available.

These included the Casio QV-10A, the Casio QV-100, and the Logitech Fotoman, which looked similar to the device in the viewer’s hand.

It comes after conspiracy fanatics were convinced an 85-year-old mural called Mr Pynchon And The Settling Of Springfield proved time travel existed.

The 1937 painting by Umberto Romano depicting a scene from 17th-century colonial America features English colonist and fur trader William Pynchon.

He is depicted trading with the Native Americans who lived in the area.

If you look closely, you can spot one of the men staring at a mysterious rectangular object in his right hand.
